Hunting and Fishing
Hunting
Our hunting preserve lies opposite the Ötscher (1.893 m). Plateaus intersected by deep rifts with pine-covered slopes are interspersed with rock formations. Commonly found in the preserve are red deer, chamois, roe deer and mufflon. The hunting preserve is well connected by a series of forest roads and has the appropriate hunting facilities. Our hunting guests from all over the world are collected by professional hunters in a four by four and – if they wish – taken as close to the hunt as possible. When stalking chamois, long walks by foot are sometimes necessary.

Fishing
Gösing is situated on a mountain, but deep below the Erlauf flows through the Ötscher Tormäuer Nature Park. Just a few kilometres from our hotel are some of the most beautiful fishing grounds in Austria. The River Erlauf has a strongly changing character and a width of 12–18 metres. The Lower Erlauf is for the most part unspoiled trout water and is a »Fly only« stretch. The Erlauf Reservoir is also home to many other kinds of fish.
Licences for fishers are available at the hotel as well as detailed information.
